What are the drawbacks of FullFocus Planner?

FullFocus-Planner-Drawbacks-01

What do we need to watch out for?

There are great experiences from the FullFocus planner with its unique proven system.

But at the same time, there are some drawbacks.

To avoid situations like “this is not what I expected” after your purchase, we could learn what those drawbacks are and prepare a solution in advance.

Let’s go through the Drawbacks of the FulLFocus Planner

1. Drawbacks

Let me restate quickly the drawbacks

1No Digital Planner: Currently Beta Testing?
2May Waste Pages due to the Pre-labeled Weekdays
3Lack of Monthly Structure
4A Daily Planner, not a Weekly Planner
5Regular Price starting $41.99
6Limitations on Amazon: limited selection, higher prices on Amazon

Let’s dive in.

1-1. No Digital Planner

As of today, FullFocus does not support digital planners.

But it seems that it is under development and currently beta testing.
This is pretty positive news!

Hopefully, it will come out sometime this year.

1-2. May Waste Pages

FullFocus planner includes pages for each day with Weekday prelabeled. If you skip days, those pages go unused.

I see. Sometimes I get sick or I get lazy and not motivated, I don’t utilize the day.

Yes. That could happen.
Some people utilize the unused daily page for note-taking for other days. The right page of the daily page is completely free.

Even if you use the random unused page later, you still can track it later because each page comes with a page number. You just need to memo the page number when to refer.

If you do not need weekly pages, you can use the page for meal planning or gratitude journaling. We can customize it to fit our style.

1-3. Lack of Monthly Structure

This planner is a 90-day planner and covers weekly plans/reviews as well as quarterly plans/reviews, but there are no dedicated Monthly plan/review pages.

The planner comes with a Monthly calendar, so you can perform Montly Plan&Review your way on those pages. The review topic we need to review must be similar to the weekly/quarterly review.

A dedicated page does not exist, does not mean we cannot perform Monthly reviews. I like to use the last 10 Notes pages for Monthly Review.

1-4. A Daily Planner, not a weekly Planner

This planner has a dedicated 2 pages each day.
That is why I call this is type of Daily Planner.

Other than Daily pages, FullFocus Planner has Annual / Quarterly goal settings and reviews, Weekly Plans & Reviews, Monthly calendars, etcetera …

so what is missing?

A weekly spread page with a vertical 7-day timetable (Like below) is not available on this planner.
Weekly-Planner-Template

The timetable itself exists on each day in this planner.

1-5. Regular Price $41.99

The lowest regular price starts at $41.99.

I feel this is a bit more expensive than other business planners such as Franklin Planner.

But you can get a discount through …

  • 10% discount if you subscribe to their newsletter.
  • FullFocus often does seasonal campaigns. (You should check out their website.)
  • Microsoft Edge Browser (Coupons and Savings)l find a valid coupon for your purchase.

10% discount makes it $37.79

1-6. Limitations on Amazon Purchase

If you purchase on Amazon, there are limited selections.

The cover color, size, and binding options are limited.

As of Feb 2024,  on Amazon, you can purchase the below

CategorizesizeBindingColor
Standard Edition – Linen6″ x 9″– Standard
– Gold Coil
– Gray
– Oatmeal

Standard Edition – Linen6″ x 9″– Standard– Navy

Based on the information as of Feb 13, 2024

OK. Only Standard Linen with Gray, Oatmeal, and Navy then.

And the price on Amazon is more expensive than on the Fullfocus Store.

Purchasing on FullFocus Store is a better deal.

2. Summary

I do not see any critical drawback for this planner except for the price.

You can utilize the coupons from the Microsoft Edge browser or enrolling an e-mail newsletter to Fullfocus to get a discount.

If you have Amazon points, then you can go with Amazon.
